Radio Woodstock/WDST Celebrates its 30th Anniversary

Today marks the 30th anniversary of locally owned radio station WDST’s first on-air broadcast.

Not every radio station can say that they’ve always remained true to their roots, but now Woodstock’s WDST station can say that they have for 30 years.

It was exactly 30 years ago today that the locally-owned rock station first signed on, although the idea for the station was conceived seven years earlier in 1973. It had been four years since the original Woodstock festival, and the plan was to create a radio station that would properly honor the town’s newfound musical legacy. Click here for full article… »
