A New Direction for HV Echo
Hello HV Echo readers!
I just wanted to post an update on what’s been going on here at HV Echo. After almost two months of publishing daily weekday articles (has it been that long already??) I’ve decided that I’d like to see more community involvement and contribution. Aside from the personal difficulty of publishing two articles a day, my initial vision for HV Echo was to have it be a place where local experts and writers could share their expertise, thoughts, and local experiences with the community. I think allowing for more contributors will let HV Echo reach that goal.
On that note, I’d like to invite any local experts, writers, and Valley aficionados to send your blog posts, articles, and expert information to us at tips@hvecho.com. We’d love to receive anything from tips, how-to pieces, Q&As, photos, and reviews. The only restrictions are that it has to be tasteful, well-written, and Hudson Valley-centric. (We also like to support local business, so please no reviews of Panera or TGI Fridays!) =) We will of course give you and your business (if you have one) a plug, and link back to your personal blog or website as well.
I hope you’ve all had a good week and have some fun things planned for the weekend…there’s always a lot going on! I’d suggest checking out the Strawberry Festival in Beacon on Saturday. It’s going on from 12 – 5pm and features live music, vendors, arts and crafts, and a variety of strawberry taste treats including shortcake, smoothies and chocolate-dipped berries. The event helps raise funds for the upkeep of The Woody Guthrie sloop, and for the Beacon Sloop Club’s sailing and educational programs. Don’t miss out on the fun!
Cheers,
Laura
