Local Teacher Receives Top Honor from Spanish Government
Rhinebeck High School Spanish teacher Anthony Orza will receive the Civil Merit Order of Spain on behalf of the Spanish King this weekend.
Anthony Orza, who has taught Spanish at Rhinebeck High School for over 37 years, will receive the Civil Merit Order of Spain (Orden Del Merito Civil) this Saturday, May 29th at a special ceremony in the high school’s auditorium. The recognition, one of Spain’s highest honors, will be bestowed on behalf of His Royal Highness King Juan Carlos I of Spain by Fernando Villalonga, General Consul of Spain in New York.
